School Site Council

What is School Site Council?  Patricia Dreizler School Site Council (SSC) consists of two parents, two faculty members, a community member, other staff members, and students who meet regularly to update the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and to review and monitor curriculum implementation. The SPSA is a plan of action to raise the academic performance of all students in the level of performance goals.

Sitting on the SSC gives you an opportunity to share your curriculum ideas, to learn, and to work closely with staff at Patricia Dreizler. The purposes of the SSC include:

  1. To approve and implement the SPSA; and
  2. To review with faculty, the implementation of the School Improvement Plan, assess its effectiveness, and modify the plan, if necessary, to reflect changing needs, and the district/school goals.

The SSC office position is a year-long position. SSC meetings are scheduled quarterly.

If you are interested in joining, please contact Allison Parsons at 310-798-8690 ext 2001.
