Welcome to Room 9 (Mr. Vaughan) English & Electives

Welcome to 2023-24 school year. This is my 33rd year teaching and my 20th at Redondo Shores/Patricia Dreizler High (26th in RBUSD). I teach English 9-12, Creative Writing and Reading Film. In addition, I am privileged to be a part of the ASB Newsletter Committee. This school year promises to be challenging and exciting, as always. Students will read and write a lot in English. The ability to reflect and analyze ourselves and what we read and write are foundational for a successful life. The culminating senior project THE PERSONAL CREED brings together all of these in a sweeping narrative of each student's life.

I am going to be starting the year much the way I ended last year, with an analog/digital approach. Students will be doing a combination of digital (online) and analog curriculum (hard copies of work).
